T-Shirt Design Competition

Open to All Adult Surfing Moms Members

Surfing Moms is excited to launch our first-ever (and hopefully annual!) 2026 Art Contest to design the official Surfing Moms t-shirt for the year! We are inviting all adult members to submit original artwork that reflects the spirit of Surfing Moms — community, strength, motherhood, empowerment, and our connection to the ocean.

The winning design will be featured on our official Surfing Moms 2026 t-shirt, and the artist will receive a free t-shirt with their design.

Theme

Designs should reflect the mission and spirit of Surfing Moms, such as:

  • Community and connection

  • Motherhood and empowerment

  • Surf culture and ocean life

  • Strength, resilience, and joy

Artists are encouraged to be creative while keeping the design aligned with our brand identity.

Prize

The winning artist will receive:

  • Their design featured on the official Surfing Moms 2026 t-shirt

  • One free t-shirt with their design

  • Recognition on our website and social media

Eligibility

  • Open to adult Surfing Moms members only

  • Must be a current member at the time of submission

  • One submission per member

  • Artwork must be original and created by the entrant

Design Guidelines

To ensure the artwork works well for apparel production:

  • Keep designs simple, bold, and clear

  • Design should work well with 5 or less colors 

  • Avoid very fine details or gradients

  • Suitable for screen printing

  • High-resolution file required (PNG, PDF, or vector format preferred)

  • No AI images 

We may adjust the winning design slightly to ensure it prints well on the final shirt.

Timeline

  • Contest Launch: April 1 

  • Submission Deadline: May 1 

  • Community Voting Period: May 2-7

  • Winner Announced: May 15

Voting Process

After submissions close:

  • Voting will take place via our official WhatsApp group - the image with the most likes will be the winner

  • Members will vote during a set voting window. The design receiving the most votes will be selected as the official Surfing Moms 2026 t-shirt design.

  • In the event of a tie, the Surfing Moms leadership team will make the final decision.

How to Submit

Please submit:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Brief description of your design concept

  • Artwork file (high-resolution format)

Usage Rights

By submitting artwork, participants agree that:

  • Surfing Moms may use the winning design for merchandise, marketing, and promotional purposes.

  • The organization may make minor adjustments to the design for production purposes.

  • The artist will be credited for the winning design.

  • Surfing Moms will retain rights to use the final printed design for apparel and promotional materials.
