Surf Swap
Surf Swap is Surfing Moms’ signature program—designed to help mothers and caregivers get back into the water after having kids. All surfing levels are welcome, and children of all ages are invited. We welcome anyone in a caregiving role—moms, dads, aunties, grandparents, and nannies.
How it Works
Each week, Surfing Moms meet at the beach and take turns surfing and caring for one another’s children.
At each meetup:
Members pair up
One person surfs while the other stays with the kids
Then they switch
Most moms get about 30–45 minutes in the water.
Kids play together on the beach, and over time, a strong, supportive community is built.
Each group is led by a local coordinator who is CPR and first aid certified.
Meetups
Local groups meet weekly for about two hours at a beach or park near a surf break.
Some groups meet at the same location each week
Others adjust based on surf and weather conditions
Coordinators share meetup details in the private Surfing Moms WhatsApp group ahead of time
