Rising Tides:
Surf Access Series
Coming Soon: Expanding Ocean Access for Mothers
Rising Tides is Surfing Moms’ community-based surf access program designed to increase equitable access to the ocean for mothers.
Through partnerships, supported surf experiences, and community collaboration, we aim to remove barriers that prevent mothers from participating in surfing and ocean recreation.
This program is currently in development as we work with community partners to prepare for launch.
Why Rising Tides?
We believe ocean access is a form of wellness, connection, and resilience.
Many mothers face barriers to surfing, including:
Financial limitations
Limited access to instruction
Childcare challenges
Social isolation
Health-related barriers
Underrepresentation in surf spaces
Rising Tides is designed to help change that.
By partnering with surf instructors, community organizations, and local leaders, we create structured opportunities for mothers to experience the water in a supported and welcoming environment.
Communities Served
Rising Tides is designed for:
Mothers who want to surf but face barriers
Participants from community partner referrals
This program complements Surf Swap and Beyond the Swap by creating additional pathways into the water.
How It Works
